Our story

Hi,  My name is Joshua. 

Thank you for taking the time to read about my company. I have been in the IT field as a Help Desk Technician and System Administrator since January of 2010. Problem solving is my great strength and with my IT background I have decided to take this leap of faith and start up this business…The Nerd Man.

There is a problem in the IT world that caused me to start up The Nerd Man, that problem is unfair pricing and deceptive practices. Jobs such as doing Windows Updates, transferring data from one source to the other, setting up a domain website, installing an operating system or building a computer can take up precious time otherwise used focusing on other important parts of our lives. I personally feel that charging someone an hourly rate of $40/hr for basic services is just disingenuous and unprofessional and not the type of business I am about.

In addition, my company is small and places a great value on customer service. My main focus is to make sure you are satisfied with the final resolution to your IT problems and to know you have deserved a fair rate.   Tech isn’t going away anytime soon and neither are the digital mechanics that fix these problems, so everyone needs an IT guy.

To me, Information Technology is simple, and the burden of a high hourly cost should not be placed upon you, the customer.

The Nerd Man is not massive company, but we are not so small that we can’t help you. We here at my company have a few core values that we want our customers to appreciate:
